Chris Conn, "CONMAN," is a Colorado native. Born and raised in Elizabeth, a small town just outside of Denver, Chris has worked ON AIR at KMSA in Grand Junction and KKFM in Colorado Springs before being picked up by Jacor's KAZY and KBPI in Denver. Chris considers himself a true student of broadcasting. Paying strict attention to the "ART" of radio, He was educated at Mesa State College in Grand Junction and spent time at the Colorado Institute of Art, focusing on audio production.
The urge to create theatrical radio came easy to Chris. From a very early age, he was performing in school plays, writing silly short stories, and illustrating comic strips for the school paper. In college, Chris pursued drama, improvisational comedy and college radio. These attributes came in handy at KBPI, the #1 AOR/ Rock station in Denver. The competition was very stiff and fast paced. You had to be bigger, better and much more creative than the next jock. After spending 2 years there and learning all he could, it was time to move on.
In January of 1995, John Hendricks, the Operations Manager of CD Country for Jones Radio Networks, noticed Chris's fantastic reputation of creative radio. Chris was hand picked to fill the evening slot on CD Country and the success of the show has become a phenomenon. Chris spends many weekends traveling across the nation, making live appearances and talking to as many listeners as possible. He is very attentive to feed back and focuses on the experience to make the "CONMAN RADIO SHOW" the best!
With over 30 different character voices, a wild imagination and a digital production studio in his home, there's just no stopping the "CONMAN". A full day's work is put into each ON AIR production to create the best in "Late Night Interactive Radio Entertainment"! As Chris says, " It's impossible to be funny to everyone, all the time. My motto is, if you can't be funny, at least be entertaining. Give the people something to chew on and give them a reason to listen every night!"
